Our friends at Eastern Bikes and BIKERS EDGE have been gracious enough to donate a brand new Eastern “Scythe” BMX bike to be raffled off to raise money for MASS APPEAL. This bike retails for over $500.00 and can be yours with the winning raffle ticket! Raffle tickets are $10.00 each and can be purchased at MASS APPEAL or BIKERS EDGE in Bristol leading up to the Sept 11th drawing. The drawing will be held at the MASS APPEAL/ FTE benefit show on Sept 11th. Tickets also can be purchased at the show up until the actual drawing that night. You do not have to be present at the show on Sept 11th to win. No limit as to how many tickets can be bought. Only one lucky person will win this bike! Winning ticket number will be posted on our site, our Facebook and also Bikers site and Facebook. Winner must present the ticket with winning number on sight to redeem the prize. All proceeds go to help MASS APPEAL.

For those of you who do not know, I used to be in a band called FTE. And for those of you also who don’t know in Jan. of this year NIKE SB put my account into collections for $20,000. (Yes I did not add too many 0’s or put the point in the wrong place) when in fact they did not need put it into collections. I was forced to pay the total amount in a matter of 2 weeks or be taken to court by NIKE… Not having that kind of money I was forced to take out a loan. We have yet to recover from that financial blow and with the poor economy and poor sales, everyday more and more it is looking like the doors will be closing for good… Enough about that. So my ex-band mates, who are family to me got together came up with a plan to throw a benefit for me and my store to help raise some money to get me out of my current situation. So we decided to get the band back together and play one last show, one night only and play never again! Bikes Edge in Bristol has donated an brand new Eastern BMX bike to raffle off as well as Precise Piercing and Tattoo gift cards and plenty more! So please come out and support me and my store. A small business that was founded 14 years ago with very little money and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. ALL AGES SHOW!!!!

For those who do not know, MASS APPEAL gets its name from the Gangstarr song “MASS APPEAL” on the album Hard To Earn. This song was an inspiration to me and the foundation of my idea for a store. Being that Gangstarr was and is still one of my favorite Hip Hop groups the name was fitting. Starting out as Mass Appeal Productions in 1994 shortly after the albums release and later becoming just MASS APPEAL in 1996. The Guru is one of the great lyricists and poets of our time. Today is a sad day for us here at M.A. and for the world of Hip Hop music. You will be missed…
